Casa del Sol (House of the Sun) is reminiscent of the Mayan culture's art and reflects the tropical atmosphere of the Riviera Maya. This spectacular home, once owned by a member of the "Grateful Dead", boasts an artistic air that appeals to all that come to visit. With the spectacular murals inside and out, and the interior design done in sumptuous silks and hand carved furnishings you can appreciate the effort put forth to set these luxurious standards.
The house has 4,400 sq ft of splendid living space with spacious balconies and an observation deck that overlooks the Yalku Lagoon. There is a plenty of room for large groups such as photo shoots, family reunions, seminars, etc. Casa del Sol can be rented in combination with the house next door, Azul Riviera, to increase the accommodations.
There are five bedrooms in Casa del Sol, four of which are air conditioned and have their own baths. The fifth is located in the observation tower. There is a a huge patio area that serves as a great place for entertaining with its additional kitchen, and a cabana by the lagoon perfect for relaxing in after a long day snorkeling. Just in case you just cant go without swimming some old fashioned laps, there is a lagoon style pool complete with a training motor for swimming stationary laps.
